Opinions

Kryztle of Izzy Manor
I'm about half way through The Casual Vacancy and I will not write about what I think until the very end. I will say one thing though. SERIOUSLY JKR?! You named a character "Krystal"? The name that I spent hours talking about how it peeved me! Now whenever I think of Krystal Weedon I think of this:

GAAAAAAAAH!
I do like the book though. Although Fats Wall seems like a big jerk to me.

Hours

It's only a matter of hours until The Casual Vacancy comes out. This is the biggest freak out I've had since Ascendio. I need some sirius (hehehe) nerd camaraderie right now. I can't wait to get my hands on J.K.R.'s newest literary feast. AHHHHHHH!

New Look

The Casual Vacancy AAAAAAAAH FREAKING OUT!

I've redecorated. Yes, I love lime green, but I felt the need for a change. I like this background more and blue-green is also purrdy. Also the fonts were kind of too much, so I simplified. I like this look quite a lot actually...Now I'm rambling.

FRENCH THE LLAMA!!! THE CASUAL VACANCY COMES OUT IN A MATTER OF DAYS!!! I'm a little nervous what if I don't like it? What if it's boring? What if I just get sad and wish it was HP? I really hope it's fantastic. I wish J.K.R. would write more HP. She could write about The Marauders. Or she could write about the Next Gen and make up for the no-info epilogue. Ahh...one can hope.

Books update

I haven't been reading many real books lately...I confess I have been addicted to HP fanfiction...
But of what I've read this last year (that I remember)

I loved American Born Chinese by: Gene Luen Yang. It was really fun to read especially as an American Born Indian Halfie. I could relate a lot and graphic novels are always a nice change for me. I also loved the multiple yet connected plot lines. The main character's struggle with identity and stereotypes was relate able and telling, yet still humorous.

I also really enjoyed reading Erec Rex The Dragon's Eye by: Kaza Kingsley. The author was at Ascendio giving out free signed books. I was really exited to read the books because I haven't read much fantasy recently. It was interesting, fun, and thoughtful. Also I was really missing detailed fantasy worlds and kingdoms, and Erec Rex has that for sure! I can't wait to read the rest of the Erec Rex books!
